Privacy notice
How video messages recorded through OurGuestbook.online are stored, used, and deleted.
What we collect
When you record a message as a guest, we store the video you submit, the question you answered, the time of submission, and — only if you choose to enter it — your name. You are never asked to create an account, and we do not ask for your email or phone number.
Who can see your video
The couple who created the guestbook, and our support team when they ask us for help. Videos are never public, never searchable, and never shown to other guests. Media is served through expiring signed links, so a copied URL stops working. We do not use guest videos for marketing without explicit consent.
Where it is stored
Videos are stored in EU-based object storage (Cloudflare R2, EU jurisdiction). Files are limited to 250 MB and 5 minutes per message.
How long we keep it
Retention depends on the couple’s package — Basic Digital Guestbook: 30 days · Premium Digital Guestbook: 90 days. The couple is told when their gallery is due to expire and is encouraged to download their originals. After expiry, content is removed according to the event’s deletion policy.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete your recording at any time, without giving a reason. The couple can also delete any message permanently from their gallery. Deletions are logged. To make a request, email hello@ourguestbook.online and mention the couple’s names and roughly when you recorded.
Children
Wedding videos often include children. A parent or guardian should be present when a child records a message, and can ask us to remove it at any time.
Controller and processor
WeddingPhone.hu operates OurGuestbook.online and acts as processor for the couple, who is the controller of their own event’s content. The definitive controller/processor agreement and legal retention policy are finalised before public launch.
